Ons knotsgekke liefdesverhaalEr waren eens twee halve gare mensen, Jan en Nathalie, die elkaar al jáááren tegenkwamen en dezelfde mensen kenden, maar eigenlijk nooit met elkaar hadden gepraat. Tot ongeveer 6 jaar geleden—&nbsp;het kwartje viel&nbsp;—&nbsp;of was het een hak?) toen Jan zag hoe Nathalie vlot marcheerde op haar torenhoge stiletto’s. Nathalie op haar beurt was dolblij dat ze eindelijk iemand had gevonden die haar kon bijbenen, op álle vlakken!Corona-romantiekToen de wereld even op slot ging, werden Jan en Nathalie gedwongen om gezellig samen te hokken. Het bleek een onverwacht voordeel: ze leerden elkaar heel goed, en van héél dichtbij, kennen. Al snel stond het vast dat lachen, gieren, brullen de rode draad door hun leven zou worden.Ontsnappen? Geen sprake van!Het kwam meerdere keren voor dat Nathalie zich wilde gaan bezinnen (lees: weglopen) en Jan haar moest terughalen. Maar op een dag wist ze dat er geen betere plek was—ze&nbsp;wilde&nbsp;ook helemaal niet meer weg! Bij Jan voelde het als thuiskomen.De grote verhuisIn de jaren die volgden, zwommen ze samen heel wat watertjes door. Het absolute hoogtepunt? De moedige beslissing om te&nbsp;verhuizen&nbsp;naar het zonnige zuiden van Spanje. Toch laten ze hun geliefde België niet helemaal achter: Jan heeft kinderen uit eerdere relaties, en samen hebben ze bovendien een geweldige vriendenclub die absoluut niet weg te denken is. Er wordt dus heen en weer gereisd, want kinderen en vrienden blijven onlosmakelijk verbonden met dit nieuwe avontuur—zo houden ze de band met België levendig en sterk.En ja, ook in die zonovergoten omgeving was er plaats voor romantiek: na 4,5 jaar lief en leed (en een koffer vol anekdotes) verzamelde Jan eindelijk al zijn moed. Hij ging op één knie en stelde dé vraag:&nbsp;“Wil je met me trouwen?”…en ze leefden nog lang en smoorverliefdEn natuurlijk zei Nathalie&nbsp;ja!&nbsp;Dus hier staan we nu: twee hartstikke gekke mensen die elkaar perfect aanvullen, keihard lachen om elkaars grappen, en klaar zijn voor de volgende stap. Wij kunnen niet wachten om dit feest samen met jullie te vieren! We hopen dat jullie net zo hard genieten als wij! Our Totally Wacky Love StoryOnce upon a time, there were two half-crazy people, Jan and Nathalie, who kept running into each other for years and knew the same crowd, but had never actually spoken. Until about 6 years ago—when the penny dropped (or was it a heel?)—as Jan watched Nathalie confidently stride around in her towering stilettos. Nathalie, for her part, was delighted to have finally found someone who could keep up with her in&nbsp;every&nbsp;way!Corona RomanceWhen the world briefly shut down, Jan and Nathalie were forced to shack up together. It turned out to be an unexpected advantage: they got to know each other very well, and from very close up. Before long, it became clear that laughing, giggling, and roaring with laughter would be the common thread in their life together.Escaping? Not a Chance!On several occasions, Nathalie felt the urge to reflect (read: run away), and Jan had to go after her. But one day, she realized there was no better place to be—she simply didn’t&nbsp;want&nbsp;to leave anymore! Being with Jan felt like coming home.The Big MoveIn the years that followed, they navigated many twists and turns together. The ultimate highlight? The brave decision to move to the sunny south of Spain. Still, they’re not leaving their beloved Belgium entirely behind: Jan has children from previous relationships, and together they also have a fantastic circle of friends who are absolutely indispensable. So they’ll be traveling back and forth, because children and friends remain inseparably connected to this new adventure—keeping their bond with Belgium very much alive and strong.And yes, in that sun-drenched setting there was room for romance too: after 4.5 years of ups and downs (and a suitcase full of anecdotes), Jan finally gathered his courage. He got down on one knee and popped the question: “Will you marry me?”…And They Lived Happily Ever AfterAnd of course, Nathalie said yes! So here we stand: two wonderfully crazy people who perfectly complement each other, laugh uproariously at one another’s jokes, and are ready for the next step. We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with all of you! We hope you’ll enjoy it just as much as we do!

Onze Trouwdag! Lieve familie en vrienden, We kijken er enorm naar uit om onze liefde samen met jullie te vieren op zaterdag 16 augustus 2025! Hieronder vinden jullie het programma van onze speciale dag. Ceremonie 12:00 Onze huwelijksviering vindt plaats in de prachtige Carolus Borromeuskerk op het Conscienceplein in Antwerpen.We vragen onze gasten om tegen 11:30 uur aanwezig te zijn, zodat we samen op tijd kunnen starten. Parkeren kan in de ondergronds parkeergarage van de Handelsbeurs in de Sint-Katelijnevest 55. Receptie 13:00 - 15:00 Na de ceremonie nodigen we jullie graag uit voor een feestelijke receptie in Zorro, recht tegenover de kerk. Laten we samen toosten op dit bijzondere moment! Pauze Na de receptie is er even een pauze. Gebruik deze tijd om even te ontspannen, op te frissen of gezellig iets te drinken in de stad. Aperitief &amp; Diner 18:00 Voor onze genodigden in kleine kring verwelkomen we jullie graag bij Plein Publiek op het Nieuwe Zuid in Antwerpen voor een sfeervol aperitief en diner. Avondfeest vanaf 20:30 Om 20:30 uur gaan de deuren open tot 22u voor het grote feest in de serre van Plein Publiek! Trek je dansschoenen aan, want DJ’s Tofke, Crazy Sir G en Niels Feyen zorgen voor een knallend dansfeest tot in de vroege uurtjes. Aperitif &amp; Dinner 6:00 PM For our close friends and family, we welcome you to Plein Publiek at Nieuwe Zuid in Antwerp for a delightful aperitif and dinner. Evening Party from 8:30 PM At 8:30 PM, the doors will open for our big celebration in the greenhouse of Plein Publiek! Jan en Philip ontmoetten elkaar in het eerste kleuterklasje, waar hun levens samenkwamen. Al van jongs af aan groeide er een warme band die hen jarenlang onafscheidelijk maakte. Rond hun achttiende raakten ze uit elkaar, terwijl het leven hen in verschillende richtingen leidde. Toch bleef de herinnering aan hun zorgeloze jeugd altijd levendig, als een stille getuige van hun onbreekbare vriendschap.

Ongeveer dertig jaar later kruisten hun paden zich opnieuw, en voelde alles meteen vertrouwd. Ze besloten samen op vakantie te gaan naar Spanje, waar de warme zon en eindeloze gesprekken oude herinneringen opriepen en nieuwe lachmomenten creëerden. Deze hernieuwde ontmoeting bracht mooie herinneringen en gevoelens weer tot leven. Terug in hun vertrouwde wereld wist Jan met volle overtuiging dat er maar één persoon was die hij als getuige aan zijn zijde wilde op de belangrijkste dag van zijn leven. Die persoon is zonder twijfel Philip – zijn vriend uit het eerste kleuterklasje, de oude metgezel die altijd in zijn hart aanwezig blijft.

Jan and Philip first met in their first year of kindergarten, where their lives came together. From a very young age, a warm bond grew that made them inseparable for many years. Around their eighteenth birthday, they drifted apart as life led them in different directions. Yet the memory of their carefree childhood remained vivid, a quiet testament to their unbreakable friendship.

About thirty years later, their paths crossed once again, and everything felt immediately familiar. They decided to go on vacation together to Spain, where the warm sun and endless conversations revived old memories and sparked new laughter. This renewed meeting brought beautiful memories and feelings back to life. Back in their familiar world, Jan was convinced that only one person should stand by his side as best man on the most important day of his life. That person is, without a doubt, Philip – his friend from kindergarten, the old companion who will always hold a special place in his heart.

Nathalie en Ellen ontmoetten elkaar in het tweede kleuterklasje, waar hun levens spontaan verweven raakten. Hoewel hun karakters verschilden en het wel eens kon botsen, brachten ze veel tijd door met elkaar en hun klasgenootjes. De herinneringen aan hun zomervakantie in de Ardennen, toen ze acht en negen waren, koesteren ze nog steeds: samen bouwden ze daar hun eigen ‘discotheek Carré’, compleet met muziek, lampjes en ongedwongen danspasjes. Daar werd de band vooral gesmeed.

Tijdens de middelbare schoolperiode bewandelden ze elk hun eigen pad en zagen ze elkaar minder vaak. Toch bleven ze contact houden en waren ze er voor elkaar tijdens grote levensgebeurtenissen. Nu de grote dag van Nathalie in zicht komt, was het voor haar vanzelfsprekend dat Ellen haar getuige zou worden. Toen ze vroeger stiekem over haar huwelijk fantaseerde, stond zij namelijk steevast naast haar. Ellen is en blijft die ene, unieke vriendin met wie ze zoveel mooie herinneringen deelt – en met wie er nog talrijke onvergetelijke momenten zullen volgen.

Nathalie and Ellen met in the second year of kindergarten, where their lives became spontaneously intertwined. Although their personalities differed and there were occasional clashes, they spent a lot of time together with their classmates. They still cherish the memories of their summer vacation in the Ardennes when they were eight and nine years old: together, they created their own ‘Discothèque Carré’, complete with music, lights, and carefree dance moves. It was there that their bond was truly forged.

During secondary school, they each followed their own path and saw each other less frequently. Nevertheless, they kept in touch and were there for each other during major life events. Now, with Nathalie’s big day approaching, it was only natural for her to ask Ellen to be her witness. When she used to secretly dream about her wedding, Ellen was always by her side. Ellen remains that one, unique friend with whom she shares so many beautiful memories—and with whom many more unforgettable moments will follow.
